Warehouse nights are nothing new if you have done them in a UK distribution centre, and Christchurch has a permanent opening for exactly that kind of experience. It is a full-time Nightshift Storeperson post at a busy logistics operation, with at least 40 hours a week.
Each shift centres on getting goods in, sorted and out again safely. Expect forklift driving, accurate order picking, devanning containers and keeping the inventory paperwork in order, plus a hand with customer service from time to time. Employer sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts with care when shifting, loading or unloading goods across the site
- Gather and pack customer orders without errors, staging them for dispatch within the required timeframes
- Empty incoming shipping containers and carry out manual stock handling
- Book in deliveries, inspect them and store them in the right locations, then complete the inventory documentation
- Serve customers in a professional way when called on, and act as an MPI Accredited Person where applicable
- Hold the warehouse to a clean, orderly and safe standard and observe health and safety rules on each shift
- Back up your colleagues on the overnight warehouse crew
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum one year spent operating forklifts
- Has handled forklifts up to 5-tonne capacity, plus reach trucks
- A forklift licence or relevant certification is preferred
- Forklift attachment experience is advantageous but not essential
- Fit enough for regular manual handling
- Careful with detail and serious about workplace safety, with good communication and organisational skills
- Dependable, self-motivated and free to work permanent nightshift hours, whether solo or alongside others
- Warehouse or logistics experience is highly desirable
