Every container that arrives in New Zealand has to be unpacked under strict biosecurity rules, and this Auckland job puts you in charge of that. The Warehouse Person role is for someone who already holds a current AP/MPI Certification and wants long-term work that combines devanning with compliance.
You would supervise the unloading of containers, make sure MPI procedures are followed, complete inspection records and still lend a hand moving goods. Early starts and full days are normal. Relevant overseas candidates may be considered for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily container devanning and unloading, following MPI requirements so every container is handled compliantly
- Fill in MPI documentation, inspection records and other paperwork accurately
- Unload, handle and move goods alongside the team
- Keep container processing on track to meet deadlines
- Raise any compliance, safety or operational concerns
- Work closely with warehouse and container handling colleagues, following health and safety procedures at all times
- Help keep the warehouse efficient and organised and take on other duties as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold a current and valid AP/MPI Certification
- Previous warehouse, container handling or devanning experience
- Practical knowledge of MPI requirements and procedures
- Physically fit and able to do regular manual lifting
- Comfortable in a hands-on operational role
- Reliable, with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Works efficiently as part of a team
- Good understanding of workplace timeframes and deadlines
- Follows instructions and compliance procedures accurately
- Committed to strict health and safety standards
- Available for early morning starts and full working days
