Bricklayers with recognised qualifications and solid site experience are needed in Perth for ongoing house and commercial builds. The work is classic trade territory: reading the plans, setting out, mixing mortar, laying brick and block to line and level and finishing it neatly.
You would work alongside supervisors and other trades, cutting bricks with trade machinery and checking everything with levels as you go. Qualifications and experience are assessed first, and sponsorship is available for suitable candidates following that assessment. British brickies used to tight lines and clean joints will feel at home on these sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Study building plans, drawings and specs and set out brickwork accurately before work begins
- Lay brick and block to the required lines, levels and specifications
- Mix mortar to the correct consistency and cut bricks using trade machinery
- Check alignment and accuracy with spirit levels and measuring tools as you work
- Finish brickwork to a high standard and put right any alignment or workmanship issues
- Follow construction procedures and site safety rules, working alongside supervisors and other trades
- Look after tools, equipment and your work area and finish assigned work on time
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Bricklaying trade qualification, minimum Certificate III or equivalent
- Bricklaying experience in a professional setting that you can demonstrate
- Strong practical knowledge of residential and commercial building
- Can read and interpret construction plans
- A record of accurate, consistent brickwork and competence with brick cutting equipment, levels and measuring tools
- Understands health and safety practice on construction sites
- Reliable, professional and committed, and able to work alone or as part of a crew
- Physically able to do bricklaying work and able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and work experience
