Trade work that does not stop when the weather turns could suit a carpenter or ceiling fixer ready for a fresh start. A building firm offering ceilings, walls and external cladding is looking for people for big commercial building and façade contracts in the region. The jobs are permanent and ongoing.
On site you will fix aluminium and CFC cladding to commercial buildings, get wall and ceiling surfaces ready, and handle framing, set-out and fixing. For the right candidates, sponsorship visas and supervisor roles are among the opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of façade cladding jobs in aluminium and CFC across commercial sites
- Prepare interior and exterior walls and ceilings ahead of rendering and plastering; prepare batches of plaster, cement and render and apply them with trowels and trade tools
- Correct corners, angles, walls and ceilings so they are plumb and straight; handle set-out, then framing and fixing
- Cover the full scope of carpentry: building, installing and repairing
- Keep to quality and safety procedures, reporting hazards found on site; work from plans, with site measuring
Requirements & Eligibility
- Preferably 3+ years in construction, along with Carpenter / Ceiling Fixer qualifications or a trade assistant background; every candidate is considered
- Ability to level, straighten, prepare and finish surfaces to a trade standard
- Knowledge of construction standards and the cladding scope of work; works well in a team or on their own
- A valid Class C driver's licence, and own transport so tools can be carried
- Ability to clear any pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and background check requirements if required
- Holds a construction white card, which is mandatory; EWP and working at heights tickets are desired
