Carpet & Flooring Installer
Visa sponsorship
Trade · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25 - $38/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Christchurch homes and shops keep needing new floors, and a well-established local flooring firm is taking on staff to keep up. There is room for seasoned carpet and flooring installers, senior fitters able to take charge of a job, and keen beginners, from junior fitters and apprentices part-way through to anyone wanting to begin an apprenticeship. Several good people may be appointed.
Expect a mix of residential and light commercial fitting in and around the city. Every role is permanent and full-time, with 37.5 hours as the minimum and 40 to 42 as normal, mostly Monday to Friday with occasional extra hours. A senior handles a job from reaching site until it is finished, directing a second fitter or a small crew, whereas trainees learn next to experienced hands. The firm welcomes AEWV applicants, including those who need it to sponsor an Accredited Employer Work Visa application, though any offer hinges on securing suitable New Zealand work rights.
Fitters should name the products they handle, from broadloom to vinyl plank, and mention crew or apprenticeship history, then roll out a Christchurch carpet fitter CV with Build AI CV.
