Fitting a CCTV camera one day and rewiring a shop the next keeps the week interesting. A Sydney business is hiring an experienced Electrician, working as an Electrical and Security Technician, to look after homes and commercial premises from start to finish.
Alongside the usual power, lighting and fault work you will be setting up security cameras, alarm panels, door entry and intercom systems, with training to help you learn the security side. Jobs are local and the week is a steady 40 hours. Eligible overseas candidates can be sponsored, and electricians who qualified abroad and meet the eligibility rules for Australian licensing are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in homes and commercial properties
- Fit and service CCTV and surveillance, alarms, intercoms and access control
- Visit customer sites, assess each job and complete it accurately and efficiently
- Keep clients updated on progress and build good relationships through clear communication and professional presentation
- Take ownership of your jobs with minimal supervision, following electrical safety rules and workplace procedures
- Leave every home and shop tidy, look after your gear and be a credit to the business
Requirements & Eligibility
- You hold an Australian electrical licence, or an overseas electrical qualification that can lead to Australian licensing
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical work, in homes as well as commercial sites
- Comfortable with electrical systems and installations
- CCTV, alarm, intercom or access control experience is advantageous
- Own electrical hand tools
- Australian driver's licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights and EWP tickets are advantageous
- Good customer service and communication, presenting and behaving professionally around clients
- Dependable and self-motivated, able to work alone
- Verifiable qualifications and employment experience
