Farming Manager

Visa sponsorship

Trade · Perth, WA, Australia · Full-Time · $150,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Running a large mixed farm in Western Australia means owning the whole season, from the first sowing plan to the final cost report. This Farming Manager post based out of Perth hands you that responsibility across a big landholding, with oats, barley, wheat, vetch and irrigated sorghum in the rotation alongside pasture and fodder.

You would lead the supervisors, overseers and machine operators, set budgets and capital plans, and work hand in hand with agronomists and the livestock side of the business. The employer can sponsor a visa for the right candidate, and it wants a manager whose results on past farms can be checked.

On your CV, set out the cropping programmes you have run, the machinery fleet you managed and any ChemCert or heavy vehicle licence you hold, then map out a broadacre farm manager CV with Build AI CV.

  • Line up fodder supply with the needs of the livestock and feed operations
  • Assess and carry out land improvement, productivity and capital projects that lift efficiency and long-term asset value
  • Use precision agriculture, GPS, digital farm-management tools and operational data to plan and make decisions
