Fitter / Turner and Welder
Visa sponsorship
Trade · Christchurch, New Zealand · Full-Time · $36 - $40/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Cranes need people who can machine a part in the morning and weld a frame in the afternoon. A business set up in 2017 that builds, refurbishes and services cranes and lifting equipment around New Zealand wants a dual-skilled Fitter / Turner and Welder, effectively a Crane Technician, for its Christchurch workshop and its field servicing work.
The team is small and close, and it holds itself to an uncompromising standard of workmanship, honest dealings with customers and a can-do attitude. You would run lathes, mills and drills to make and repair precision crane parts, carry out certified welding and structural fabrication in steel and aluminium, and fault-find and maintain lifting systems. You need the legal right to work in New Zealand, or a willingness to go through the AEWV sponsorship process.
List your trade certificate, welding certifications and any crane or hydraulics work clearly on your CV, then lift your crane technician CV with Build AI CV.
