Big infrastructure jobs in South Australia are recruiting a range of civil trades, and this Formwork Carpenter listing is based in Adelaide. Concreters, Steel Fixers, Leading Hands and Trade Assistants are wanted too, with at least 3 years of civil construction experience across the board.
As a formworker you would build to project specifications, support Form, Reo and Pour work, read drawings, prepare areas and materials and keep quality high within project timeframes. Work can be metropolitan, regional or interstate. Sponsorship is available for eligible successful candidates.
List your trade, tickets such as Dogman or Working at Heights and the civil jobs you have worked on, then prepare an Adelaide Form, Reo and Pour CV with Build AI CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Build formwork to the specifications set for each project
- Pour, place and finish concrete where needed
- Fix and tie reinforcement and steel components in place
- Back up the Form, Reo, Pour crews and related civil work
- Handle hand tools, power tools and site equipment safely
- Check the drawings and take direction from supervisors and site managers
- Get each work area, its materials and equipment ready before you begin
- Hold the quality standard on every job and finish inside the programme
- Work safely, look out for hazards and raise them straight away
- Fit in alongside other trades and crews, picking up extra civil tasks as the project requires
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3 years of relevant civil construction experience
- Proven hands-on experience in the nominated construction trade, shown through earlier jobs and duties
- Current White Card
- Relevant trade qualifications or tickets where applicable
- Dogman, Working at Heights, Telehandler, CN, C6 or HR tickets are advantageous
- A solid grasp of how to work safely in construction
- Follows site instructions and communicates clearly
- Gets plenty done alone or with a crew, turns up reliably and takes responsibilities and deadlines seriously
- Takes care over detail and the quality of the finished work
- Happy to work on projects in the city, in regional areas or interstate
