Formwork Carpenters with a solid record are wanted by site crews in Sydney for large building projects across New South Wales. It is a role for tradespeople who know their formwork systems, read a site well and take pride in getting the frames right before the concrete goes in.
You would study drawings and specifications, set out and mark, then build, position and secure formwork using a range of systems and methods, checking alignment, levels and stability each time. Safe use of hand and power tools and keeping pace with the crew's programme matter. This role is open to applicants already in Australia, and eligible high-performing onshore candidates may be considered for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and erect formwork for concrete work, after studying drawings, plans and specifications
- Set out and mark formwork, measuring accurately
- Work with different formwork systems and construction methods, assembling, positioning and securing formwork
- Check completed formwork for alignment, levels and stability
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on live sites, helping the crew stay on programme and completing your allocated work efficiently to the expected standard
- Follow health and safety procedures and keep a safe, tidy work area
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a formwork carpenter
- Practical experience with formwork systems and a good understanding of formwork construction
- Reads and follows construction drawings and specifications
- A valid White Card
- Works productively within an established site crew
- Reliable and professional, communicating and working well with others
- Physically fit for demanding construction work
