A busy salon in Cairns is after a qualified Hairdresser who already has plenty of salon experience and can work with little supervision. Cutting, styling and modern colour make up the day, along with proper consultations so each client leaves with the look they asked for.
The hours are flexible to begin with and could grow into full-time work, and you would be part of a recognised salon network with regular training. You need to commit to at least 5 months. Eligible candidates may be considered for employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut, style and colour hair for all kinds of clients
- Consult with each client on the style, colour and finish they are after, checking hair condition and recommending what will work
- Use modern colouring techniques with close attention to detail
- Deliver the same high standard across every service on the menu
- Build strong client relationships so people leave happy and keep coming back
- Present yourself well and keep a professional manner in the salon
- Work alongside experienced stylists, take part in salon training, keep up with trends and keep the salon clean and welcoming
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified hairdresser with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
- Practical salon experience backed by employment evidence
- A stable employment history
- Strong hands-on cutting, styling and modern colour skills, and confident client consultations
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Good communication and customer service, with a dependable and approachable manner
- Committed to quality work and to continuing training and professional development
- Able to commit to at least 5 months or longer
- Flexible availability, with the potential to move from part-time to full-time
