A commercial landscaping contractor in Darwin needs a skilled Commercial Landscaper for ongoing projects in the Northern Territory. You would be involved from the first dig to the final plants: groundworks, levels and bases, drainage and irrigation, paving and edging, retaining walls, turf and mulch.
It suits a hands-on tradesperson who takes responsibility for their own work, keeps a tidy site and is happy doing physical work outdoors. The employer values experience and qualifications that can be checked and wants people looking for a long-term role. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants. If you have done hard landscaping in the UK, this is work you already know.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sites, excavate and finish the groundworks
- Set out levels and form accurate bases
- Install drainage and irrigation systems
- Lay paving and edging, build small concrete features and construct retaining walls and other landscape structures
- Plant gardens, lay turf and spread mulch as part of hard and soft landscaping on commercial sites
- Operate plant, machinery and landscaping equipment safely and follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Work carefully and consistently, keeping tools, equipment and work areas clean
- Meet project schedules and construction targets
- Communicate with supervisors and the crew, and work on your own when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience in landscape construction
- Solid practical knowledge of commercial landscaping backed by genuine hands-on experience
- A relevant formal landscaping qualification is advantageous
- Reliable, punctual and committed, with a safety focus and pride in quality work
- Current full driver's licence essential
- Own reliable transport essential
- MR driver's licence advantageous
- Current White Card essential
- Permanent Australian work rights preferred
- Temporary residents need not apply
- Working with Children Card (OCHRE) or willingness to obtain one
- DCAC for Robertson Barracks advantageous
- Physically able to handle outdoor landscape construction
- A team player who can also work alone and is looking for a stable, long-term position
