Marine Technician
Visa sponsorship
Trade · Hamilton, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
A marine service business in Hamilton needs a Marine Technician / Outboard Motor Mechanic who can take a misbehaving engine from diagnosis to sea trial without hand-holding. The work moves between the workshop, mobile call-outs and time on the water.
Expect fault-finding on fuel, cooling and electrical systems, servicing and overhauls, rigging new outboards with their controls and gauges, fitting marine electronics and running pre-delivery checks. Experience with internal-combustion engines and sound diagnostic skills are central. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas candidates. If you have kept boats running on UK rivers or the coast, your experience is relevant.
Use your CV to show your trade qualification, the outboard and inboard engines you have serviced, the diagnostic software you know and any manufacturer courses. Polish an outboard and marine engine CV on Build AI CV so it reads clearly.
