Boilermakers who like variety will find it here. An industrial engineering and maintenance business in Kalgoorlie wants a full-time Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker Welder) to fabricate, weld, assemble, repair and maintain, both in the workshop and out in the field.
Working from drawings and specifications, you would set out and measure, cut, bend and form materials, then build and weld components and structures. Field work covers maintaining fixed and mobile plant, repairing and modifying equipment and responding to breakdowns. Quality checks, machinery upkeep and safe work practice run through everything. Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Set out and measure each fabrication from engineering drawings, plans and specifications
- Cut, bend and form structural and mechanical materials, then fabricate, weld and assemble components and structures
- Repair and modify plant and equipment
- Help maintain fixed and mobile plant and attend breakdowns for corrective repairs, working both in the workshop and on site
- Inspect fabricated parts for quality and accuracy against specifications
- Operate and routinely maintain workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
- Follow safe work procedures and site rules and keep your work area in order
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years full-time experience in Metal Fabrication, including proven Boilermaker/Welder work with strong fabrication and welding skills
- Competent reading engineering drawings
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights certification gained within the past 2 years
- Confined Space certification gained within the past 2 years
- A valid Australian Driver Licence
- Committed to safety and quality, communicating and working well in a team
- Holds Australian citizenship, permanent residency or relevant work rights
