Qualified in both plumbing and gas? A well-established business in Wellington is growing and wants a Plumber and Gasfitter to join a friendly, experienced team on a varied mix of projects.
One day might be a new install, the next servicing a gas appliance or tracking down a fault, with commercial plumbing work when it comes up. You would assess each job and choose the right fix, work to plans and specifications, keep finished work safe and up to standard, and keep customers and other trades informed. Key Responsibilities
- Install and repair plumbing systems, and carry out gasfitting installation and servicing
- Take on maintenance and fault-finding, plus commercial plumbing projects as required
- Work out what each job needs and choose the right solution, following plans, specifications and technical requirements
- Check that completed work meets quality and safety standards
- Work alongside other trades and colleagues, keeping customers and project stakeholders professionally informed
- Look after your tools, equipment and work areas
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised qualifications in both plumbing and gasfitting
- Relevant practical experience in the industry, with strong knowledge of plumbing systems and gasfitting practice
- Commercial experience preferred
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
- Dependable and professional, with quality workmanship and close attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service
