Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain plumbing in homes and commercial buildings, including hot and cold water systems, sanitary plumbing and fixtures
- Fit and service pipework, valves, pumps and control systems
- Work on hydronic and underfloor heating pipework and components
- Install, replace and commission hot water cylinders and heat pump water heaters, and help with HVAC-related plumbing and heating work
- Work accurately from plans, drawings and specifications, measuring, preparing and assembling pipework with proper technique
- Pressure test and commission systems and check their performance
- Find faults, carry out repairs and suggest effective solutions
- Keep job sites professional and safe, maintain tools and equipment, and cooperate with technicians, builders and other trades
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised plumbing qualification with relevant industry experience
- New Zealand plumbing registration, or eligibility to achieve registration
- Minimum three years’ experience in plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance
- A proven record on residential and commercial plumbing projects
- Experience with hydronic heating, underfloor heating or HVAC plumbing systems is advantageous
- Able to read technical drawings, plans and project requirements, with strong technical problem-solving and attention to detail
- Committed to quality workmanship and reliable service, communicating well within a professional team
- Valid driver licence or willingness to obtain one
- Able to supply verified employment history, qualifications and trade experience records
