Fancy swapping the UK winter for the Queensland coast? A residential aged care home in Hervey Bay is recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse to take charge of resident care and the people who deliver it.
If you have worked as a nurse in charge or a unit lead in a care home, much of this will feel familiar. You would assess residents, monitor observations, manage medicines and treatments and own each resident's care plan, while directing graduate RNs, ENs, student nurses and care workers and holding regular performance reviews with them.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents, monitor vital signs and manage medicines and treatments
- Draw up individual care plans and see them through, giving evidence-based care with residents and colleagues
- Direct graduate Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and Personal Care Workers on shift
- Lead the team to the highest standards of care
- Hold regular performance reviews and support colleagues to develop
- Liaise with clinical staff, residents, families, allied health professionals, GPs and external organisations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Professional, ethical practice in aged care and infection control that is kept current with legal and AHPRA requirements and the Nurses Code of Conduct
- Aged care experience and willingness to complete ongoing mandatory training
