Abseiling down city buildings for a living is the job on offer here. A commercial property maintenance firm that has worked in New Zealand for over 20 years has five permanent full-time posts for an experienced Rope Access Technician, with work split between greater Auckland and Christchurch as jobs demand.
That means regular travel with overnight stays, plus the odd short trip to other regions. Your contract sets a floor of 70 hours a fortnight; most weeks run to 40 hours, either 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday or nights from 6pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, with rosters about a week ahead. As an accredited employer under the AEWV, it can sponsor and welcomes IRATA-qualified abseilers now overseas who want to work in New Zealand.
List your IRATA level and hours, first aid units and the building types you have worked on when you build an Auckland and Christchurch rope access CV with Build AI CV, keeping certificates and dates easy to check.
