This is security work where discretion matters as much as presence. A high-security site on the Gold Coast needs dependable Security Officers to control who comes in, patrol the grounds and deal with alarms, incidents and emergencies as they happen.
You would talk with authorised staff, contractors and visitors in a calm, approachable way, follow strict site protocols, and keep accurate logs and reports while treating sensitive information as confidential. Good judgement and knowing when to escalate a concern are central. If you are eligible and can satisfy the necessary employment, visa and security checks, sponsorship opportunities may be available.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage entry to secure premises so that nobody without authorisation gets in
- Carry out regular patrols, stay alert to what is happening around you and act on suspicious behaviour
- React to alarm activations, incidents and emergencies with sound judgement, passing anything serious up the line
- Deal professionally and approachably with staff, contractors and visitors who are authorised to be there, applying site protocols and security procedures every time
- Write up precise logs and reports, keep confidential material private and contribute to a safe, respectful, professional workplace
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship may be required for security clearance eligibility
- Holds a QLD Security Licence that is current
- Holding a current security clearance is advantageous
- Prepared to go through, and eligible for, the security clearance process, including checks on identity, credentials and background
- Strong integrity, honesty and accountability, and a good communicator
- Sharp eye for detail, good situational awareness and a calm, professional manner under pressure
- Sticks closely to strict security and operating procedures
- Earlier work in security or a similarly sensitive operational setting is desirable
