Great hair is half technique and half listening. An established, growing salon in Melbourne wants a Senior Hairdresser who is equally strong at both, for full-time work cutting, colouring and styling alongside experienced colleagues.
Clients expect to be listened to, so you will spend time understanding each person before the scissors come out, and they should leave knowing how to look after their new style. Hair extension skills are a real plus, though strong senior-level hairdressing comes first. Sponsorship is available for a suitable and eligible candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut, colour and style hair, and offer other salon services, to a reliably professional level
- Talk each client through their hair, then suggest the right products for caring for and styling it at home
- Win regulars by being friendly, warm and consistent
- Fit and maintain hair extensions where you have the training or experience
- Look after a clean, tidy and hygienic station and stick to salon and safety rules
- Pull together with the other stylists and staff
- Stay on top of new looks and methods and take part in training
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- You have worked as a Senior Hair Stylist or seasoned professional hairdresser and can show your salon history
- You can confirm who you are, what you are qualified in and where you have worked, and you will go through the required verification process
- You know modern hairdressing techniques in depth
- You consult with confidence and get on easily with clients
- You sweat the small details and care about happy, satisfied clients
- You love hairdressing, keep learning and bring a professional, dependable, driven attitude
- You can work solo or with the team
- You understand salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded
