A busy Perth fabrication workshop is after a Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong aluminium skills. Most days involve cutting, bending, rolling and welding aluminium and sheet metal into finished products, working from drawings or sometimes a rough sketch, and getting each piece right without someone looking over your shoulder.
TIG or laser welding sits at the centre of the job, and if you have built fencing and gates before, that will be highly regarded. Overseas applicants may be considered where sponsorship eligibility requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble aluminium and sheet metal products from technical drawings, plans and simple sketches
- Complete aluminium TIG and laser welding
- Operate machinery for cutting, bending and rolling
- Measure and prep materials, then carry out accurate fabrication and finishing
- Check finished components for quality and accuracy
- Support a productive workshop, work with colleagues on fabrication problems and suggest better production methods
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good condition and follow all safety and workplace procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, or more
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal or Aluminium Fabricator
- Solid hands-on aluminium welding experience, competent in TIG or laser welding
- Able to read and work from fabrication drawings
- Experience using sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Fencing and gates experience is highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and strong practical problem-solving skills
- Committed to quality work and safe practices
