Switchboard Electrician and Electrical Engineer

Visa sponsorship

Trade · Brisbane, QLD, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored

Nothing ships from this Brisbane factory until it has passed its tests, and that is where you come in. The company designs and builds power equipment from low to high voltage, and it has two openings: a Switchboard Electrician on the build and test bench, and an Electrical Engineer focused on HV and MV work.

On the electrician side, think wiring MCCs from schematics, proving relays and earthing, signing off FAT results and the odd night shutdown on site. The engineer spends more time with substations and protection schemes, checking documents and helping the factory floor when a design question comes up. Subclass 482 visa sponsorship is available for the successful Electrical Engineer.

Employers here read CVs for proof, so name your Queensland licence, the highest voltage you have handled and the standards you build to. List your switchboard testing and FAT experience in Build AI CV.
