Imported cars come through the doors every day at this Auckland vehicle compliance centre, which also services and repairs all kinds of vehicles and carries out WOF inspections. It wants experienced Automotive Mechanic staff for permanent full-time work, Monday to Friday.
The job takes in stripping imports for inspection, servicing, mechanical repairs and picking up parts from suppliers, and you need to be comfortable logging invoices, WOF inspections and repair time on the computer. This role is open to applicants already in New Zealand who hold New Zealand citizenship or residency. The workshop holds accredited employer status, which allows AEWV sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Strip imported cars with care ready for compliance inspection
- Service and maintain a range of vehicles and carry out mechanical repairs
- Pick up cars and parts from suppliers
- Log repair time, invoices and WOF inspections
- Help colleagues when they need it
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years of proven experience as an automotive car mechanic
- New Zealand citizenship or residency
- A New Zealand driver licence
- Sticks closely to safety protocols
- Organised, proactive and able to juggle tasks and meet timelines
- Good communication
- Computer knowledge is an advantage
