Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers, including scheduled and preventative servicing
- Find and fix mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults
- Repair air brakes, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and other trailer parts
- Run safety inspections and keep everything NHVR compliant
- Fill in maintenance records and job reports
- Work quickly without letting workmanship slip
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
- Experience on heavy vehicles and trailers, including air brake systems and trailer maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work on your own and within a team
- HC/MC driver's licence is an advantage
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
