Caring for people with dementia takes patience and warmth, and this Christchurch provider builds its whole approach around that. It runs cosy, home-like care settings with a close team and strong mentoring, and has a permanent full-time Caregiver vacancy at one of its homes, working at least 30 hours a week on a 24/7 roster.
Rates depend on your level, from $23.95 an hour at Level 1 up to $28.25 at Level 4 and above. As an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer, it can offer visa sponsorship to applicants who meet the qualification condition listed in the requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Give culturally safe, whole-person personal care, such as help with showering, dressing, eating, moving about and communicating
- Help plan care and carry out therapy plans for people with dementia, keeping records accurate and current
- Watch how residents are doing and report any change or worry quickly
- Support registered nurses within your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Truly committed to making older people's lives better, with kindness and empathy
- Able to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- A passion for aged care
- Previous caregiving experience preferred; dementia care experience a strong advantage
- For visa support: a Registered Nursing degree, or a Level 4+ caregiving qualification with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
- Comfortable in a small, close team
