CA or CPA qualified and tired of chasing billable hours? A public practice firm in Sydney wants a Client Manager to look after an established portfolio of business owners, and it does things differently: there are no timesheets, and clients pay a monthly subscription. That leaves room to concentrate on advice rather than the clock.
Your days would involve sitting down with owners to go through how their business is performing, helping with planning and big decisions, supporting cash flow and forecasting, and keeping their tax and compliance in order. Eligible candidates with the right experience and credentials that can be verified may be considered for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after an established portfolio of business clients, building long-term relationships of trust with their owners
- Offer practical, commercial advice on business planning and strategic decisions, and spot opportunities, risks and room for improvement
- Go through financial information with clients and talk about how their business is tracking
- Help with cash flow management and forecasting, and guide clients on tax and accounting while overseeing compliance
- Be a dependable adviser for ongoing needs, working with colleagues to produce accurate, high-quality work
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public practice accounting and a CA or CPA qualification
- A track record of managing and advising business clients, with strong business advisory and client relationship skills
- An excellent communicator who builds trust and credibility
- Comfortable dealing directly with business owners and key decision-makers
- Strong commercial awareness and a practical approach to solving problems
- Sound knowledge of accounting and taxation compliance requirements
- Professional background and qualifications that can be verified for employer consideration
- Australian work experience will be highly regarded
