An established Queensland early learning provider is expanding in Cairns and has 5 full-time kindergarten positions for Early Childhood Teachers. The work means running structured kindergarten programmes, watching each child grow and keeping families involved along the way.
You would not be teaching in isolation either: colleagues in other centres swap resources and ideas, and training is offered. Overseas-qualified teachers are encouraged to apply, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver kindergarten programmes suited to each child's stage of development
- Create a calm, inclusive and stimulating room where children feel safe
- Plan, document and evaluate learning, keeping observations, learning records, the electronic program and portfolios up to date
- Build warm, respectful relationships with every child
- Work with parents and families and keep them informed about their child's learning and progress
- Collaborate with your colleagues and share ideas with Early Childhood Teachers across the group
- Keep to the National Quality Standards and National Regulations and look after daily health, safety and wellbeing
- Look for ways to improve the programme, take part in training and help keep the team friendly and cooperative
Requirements & Eligibility
- An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- OR an approved Diploma-level Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, while actively studying towards an ACECQA-approved ECT qualification
- OR actively studying towards an approved ECT qualification with at least 50% completed
- Academic transcripts if applying under the 50% completed qualification pathway
- Meets the applicable ACECQA assessment requirements and the relevant English language requirements
- Meets the eligibility requirements of the applicable Australian visa pathway
- Eligible for, and able to hold, a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, or willing to obtain these qualifications when required
- Clear written and spoken communication, with a dependable, flexible and team-minded approach
- You love working in early childhood education and bring energy, enthusiasm and hard work
- You connect well with children, parents and co-workers and know how young children learn
- Wants a long-term career in the early childhood sector
