Swapping a UK A&E for an Australian one? A busy Emergency Department in Canberra, ACT, is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse on a full-time basis.
The day-to-day will feel familiar if you have worked in emergency care at home: you assess patients as they arrive, organise and deliver their care, review how it is going and keep relatives informed, all as part of a multidisciplinary team. The roster rotates through evenings, nights and weekends.
Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates. Nursing registration in Australia is handled separately through AHPRA, and the role asks for current AHPRA registration or eligibility for it.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients as they arrive in the emergency department
- Organise, deliver and review their care

Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or eligibility for registration
- At least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience
- A postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing, or equivalent
- Ability to provide high-quality nursing care in line with professional competency standards
- Strong critical thinking, communication and clinical decision-making, and the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
