Swapping a British pass for a waterfront one could suit a chef ready to run their own kitchen. A respected hospitality group on the way up needs a Head Chef for its restaurant on the water, which has around 80 seats. The cooking is bold modern Australian, with smaller plates and dishes made for sharing, all prepared in-house using local produce.
The Head Chef devises the menus with the owner, recruits and trains the brigade and runs service from the pass. The role is full-time on a 38-hour week. Applications are welcome from head chefs and from senior sous chefs who feel ready for a first head chef job. The employer is happy to discuss visa sponsorship with the right person.
