Swapping the UK winter for an oceanfront kitchen on the New South Wales coast? A venue in Coffs Harbour is recruiting an experienced Sous Chef, and it is taking on qualified chefs as well.
It is part of a hospitality group that is growing, with fine dining and more casual venues in Queensland and New South Wales. The site is a versatile one. There is a bistro restaurant, and the diary is busy with weddings, conferences, functions and live music events. You would help write the menus, look after the team and organise the events, and you will need 2+ years' experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
- Help come up with inspiring menus for the bistro and for the events packages
- Lead the kitchen team, managing it within KPIs
- Help recruit new talent and develop the team already in place
- Foster a positive atmosphere to work in
- Manage food quality, portion control and presentation
- Oversee bistro service, and plan and deliver the regular functions and events
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2+ years' experience in similar roles
- High emotional intelligence and strong people management skills
- Proven experience managing a busy, multifaceted kitchen at pace
- Attention to detail and quality control
- An understanding of costing and profits
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong planning skills
