Key Responsibilities
- Make breads and sweet yeast products to commercial standards
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, following set recipes, baking methods and production steps
- Run industrial ovens and other commercial bakery equipment safely, watching each bake so quality stays even
- Work through the daily preparation, baking and packing schedule
- Keep standards consistent when the bakery is busy and time is tight
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures and keep the bakery clean, organised and efficient
- Work with the rest of the bakery team to hit production targets
- Handle ingredients and finished goods safely, including loads up to 25kg
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrable commercial baking background, gained hands-on in a bakery or food production business
- Certificate III in Baking preferred
- Has used industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment in practice
- Understands baking methods, recipes and production processes
- Knows the food safety and hygiene requirements
- Can keep products consistent and to quality
- Able to start early shifts from approximately 2:00am
- Physically fit with good stamina, and able to lift up to 25kg
- A current and valid driver's licence plus reliable transport
- Hard-working and dependable, and works cooperatively within a professional bakery team
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa
- Evidence supporting your qualifications and relevant work experience, and happy to work in South Australia
