Historic hotels by the water do not come much more iconic than this one in Northland, north of Whangarei. Its kitchen is hiring passionate cooks for Chef de Partie posts, permanent and full time at 30 hours a week, in a supportive team that values fresh, seasonal food and consistent standards.
You would run your own section, keep stock at the right quality and level, and make sure every part of a dish is right and on time. Applicants with New Zealand work eligibility are preferred, but sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn every menu inside out, from today's specials to events, and pitch dish ideas when the chefs ask
- Get your station set for the day's service and any function
- Hold enough good stock and flag any gaps to the head chef or sous
- Check each element on the plate is cooked right and ready when the pass calls
- Cook to the recipe, keep to the food control plan and leave benches clean
- Prep only what the day needs so nothing is wasted, guide newer cooks and report broken kit
