Fancy swapping the UK winter for bread ovens in Western Australia's South West? A well-known bakery in a busy coastal town, with Bunbury as the nearest city, is taking on a Baker.
You'd work alongside the Bread Team Leader and the Production Manager, so there's plenty of room to sharpen your skills and build a proper career in baking. It's an early job: 2am to 12pm, Monday to Thursday, which makes 4 days and 38 hours a week, with overtime added if necessary and your weekends kept clear. Sponsorship is available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
- Mixing the white doughs
- Shaping sourdough
- Firing the three level bread oven to bake sourdough
- Rolling puff pastry
- Keeping stock control tidy
- Putting your understanding of fermentation to work on sourdough
- Doing the same for croissant dough
Requirements & Eligibility
- A demonstrated passion for turning out quality products for the cabinet
- Experience of working in a team
- Experience of preparation, service and kitchen management
- A background in volume bakeries
- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- HACCP experience desirable, with a high priority placed on food hygiene
- Experience of operating a commercial bread oven
- A positive attitude, an energetic work ethic, the ability to adapt and to work very early
