It is after keen, dependable people who graft and keep their cool when the tickets keep printing. Confident Asian cooking is the heart of the job.
Because the role is for applicants already in Australia, it suits people who are there now and willing to work at whichever restaurant they are allocated. Initial training may take place in Port Macquarie first.
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) holders are welcome. Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482) sponsorship may be considered for suitable and eligible long-term candidates, but that depends on business needs, whether you are eligible, how well you perform and the immigration rules in force, so it is not automatic.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook Vietnamese and Asian-style dishes to house standards
- Keep quality, presentation and portion sizes spot on
- Organise the prep list and rotate stock
- Keep a clean kitchen in line with food safety and hygiene procedures
- Keep pace through lunch and dinner rushes
- Work alongside kitchen and front of house colleagues so service runs smoothly
- Fit in at the restaurant you are allocated to
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial Cookery qualifications, or relevant experience gained in professional kitchens
- Experience in Asian cuisine kitchens, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese or other Asian restaurants above all, is highly preferred
- Previous noodle soup, stir-fry, rice dish and other Asian meal work is an advantage
- Happy to work independently and keep your head in busy service periods
- Reliable and punctual, and committed to high standards
- Flexible availability, weekends included, and must be currently located in Australia
