From a busy UK kitchen to a New Zealand café? A café in Hamilton is recruiting a Chef on a permanent, full-time contract, and as an accredited employer it can sponsor workers on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
The kitchen looks after the café itself, functions and catering. Daily prep, cooking and menu execution are the core of the job, and the café sets a high bar for food quality, presentation and hygiene.
Service is varied, with café regulars, group bookings and tour groups, plus events such as weddings, birthdays, high teas and Christmas functions. You will need to be comfortable cooking on your own and as part of a wider brigade when it gets busy.

Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 12 months' previous experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Able to manage your time effectively and work under pressure through busy service periods
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, together with a positive attitude, reliability and pride in delivering quality food
