Depending on the person, a shift might involve driving them to work or appointments, helping with money, cooking, shopping, cleaning, showering or medication. Rosters cover days, evenings, wakeover nights and weekends.
The organisation is an accredited AEWV employer, meaning Immigration New Zealand has approved it to sponsor staff on the Accredited Employer Work Visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Support people with complex behavioural and medical needs to manage overwhelming emotions and health challenges
- Encourage positive behaviour and keep the people you support safe
- Help each person build independence and learn skills for daily living
- Assist with tasks matched to the person's ability, such as transport, employment, finances, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, showering and giving medication
- Cover day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts, managing risk and responding well when situations become challenging
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience managing challenging behaviours is preferred
- The ability to navigate behaviours that can challenge, plus the physical fitness to give hands-on support
- Available for flexible shifts, weekends and wakeover shifts included
- Comfortable and capable using computers and tablets every day
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- A Full NZ driver's license
