Coffs Harbour sits on the coast between Sydney and Brisbane, and one of its established hospitality teams is hiring a Chef de Partie. It is a good next step if you are ready to run your own section and want to keep building your career.
You would take charge of an allocated station from prep to service, work closely with the senior chefs, help junior cooks and bring ideas for specials using local, seasonal produce. Functions and events add to the busy periods. Candidates with suitable skills and experience may be eligible for employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Run an allocated section from preparation through to service
- Plate dishes to the right standard of quality, presentation and portion size every time
- Work with senior chefs to keep the kitchen running smoothly and support junior cooks
- Suggest menu items and specials using seasonal, local produce
- Maintain food handling, cleanliness and hygiene and follow food safety rules
- Monitor ingredient and stock use and report what needs ordering
- Prepare for busy services, functions and events, and contribute positively to team discussions on improving the kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable professional kitchen role
- Experience in a busy or high-volume hospitality setting
- Able to keep quality and consistency high during busy service
- Strong practical cooking and food preparation skills
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance standards
- Strong teamwork and communication
- Able to supervise or support junior kitchen staff
- Good organisation and time management
- A creative approach to food and a genuine commitment to quality
