A 4-days-on, 3-days-off roster sets this Chef de Partie job in Sydney apart. The kitchen is busy and open to the dining room, run by an experienced Executive Chef, and it needs a chef with real professional experience who can hold a section through high-volume service while the guests watch.
You would cook to the house standards across several sections, keep flavour and presentation consistent, juggle competing tasks and keep your station and prep areas clean. Late-night shifts are part of the job. Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates whose skills and experience meet the role requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to the standards the kitchen has set
- Move confidently between different sections
- Keep flavour, quality and presentation consistent, with the extra polish an open kitchen needs
- Help with prep and service when trade is at its busiest
- Work closely with the brigade and communicate clearly with the chefs
- Stick to accurate prep and service routines and to food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Keep your station and prep areas clean and orderly
- Juggle competing tasks efficiently and help keep the kitchen respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience in restaurants, pubs or hotels
- Real hands-on experience across several kitchen sections
- Can demonstrate practical cooking skills and relevant work history
- Strong understanding of how professional kitchens run
- Keeps standards high in busy service and multitasks under pressure
- Communicates well and works as part of a team
- Dependable, on time and attentive to detail
- Well presented, with high personal hygiene standards
- Available for late-night shifts
- Positive and keen to learn, with a commitment to quality and continuous professional development
