Running the kitchen at an aged care home is a different rhythm from restaurant service, and that is what this Chef Manager role offers. The employer is an Australian-owned contract caterer with 25 years behind it across aged care, schools, retail and remote sites, and the post is at a home in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, near Goulburn.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, on a permanent full-time basis. You would oversee each day in the kitchen and make sure residents get good meals that suit their own dietary needs. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook fresh, nourishing meals in a busy kitchen, including bulk preparation and production
- Produce texture-modified meals to residents' dietary needs and the set standards
- Look after residents and clients with friendly, professional service and help make mealtimes a good experience
- Plan and organise the day in the kitchen on your own, putting tasks in the right order
- Keep food safety, hygiene and cleanliness at a high standard
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised trade qualification in commercial cookery
- A current Food Safety Supervisor qualification
- Experience in food preparation, bulk cooking and running a kitchen
- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and of meeting individual dietary requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities and keep standards high
- A current National Criminal History Check
- The ability to meet the site's flu vaccination requirements
