Chef
Visa sponsorship
Hospitality · Melbourne, VIC, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored
Sushi counters, izakaya grills and busy Japanese kitchens are where this Melbourne Chef role draws its people from. You would cook across the menu, from knife work on the cold section to yakitori, fried dishes and pan cooking on the hot side, holding authenticity and presentation steady as the dockets pile up.
The kitchen wants proven Japanese cooking experience, careful seafood handling and the discipline to keep portions, prep and hygiene exact through high-volume nights. Overseas candidates may be considered for 482 visa sponsorship where eligibility requirements are met. If you have worked a UK sushi bar, this is familiar ground.
Your CV should show the Japanese restaurants you have worked in, the sections you can run and how long you have prepared sushi and sashimi. Write a Japanese kitchen CV for Melbourne with Build AI CV and send it off.
