Perth restaurant work with a clear path ahead: an established venue is hiring for its kitchen, and also for cooks and front-of-house staff. Asian cooking is the strength it wants to see from its chefs, though Japanese cuisine experience is not a must.
Day to day you would run sections through service, prep ingredients, keep plates consistent and help with stock and deliveries, while floor staff look after guests, orders and the till. The opening is for people already in Australia with work rights. Sponsorship can follow for eligible staff, based on verified experience, performance and business needs, as long as they are willing to start work first.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and plate food to the restaurant's set quality standards
- Look after a kitchen section efficiently through each service
- Prep ingredients and keep preparation areas in order, with steady quality, presentation and portion control
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Help with stock, deliveries and inventory checks
- Keep every work area clean, tidy and safe
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues and give newer staff a hand
- For floor roles, welcome guests, take orders, serve food and drinks and answer questions about the menu
- Clear and reset tables and take payments through the POS system
- Keep the dining room professional and welcoming and support wider restaurant operations when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience for Chef and Cook positions
- Proven experience with Asian cuisine
- Japanese cuisine experience is not required
- Australian qualifications relevant to the role are preferred
- Genuine employment experience that can be verified
- Practical skills for the position that you can demonstrate
- Good communication and teamwork
- A dependable, professional attitude at work
- Willing to learn the workplace's established procedures
