Pub classics, daily specials and a busy dining room keep this Shepparton kitchen on its toes. The venue is hiring a Chef who wants to do more than prep, taking a real part in service, food standards, stock and the menu.
If you have worked the pass in a UK gastropub, the pace and variety will feel familiar. You would cook to set standards, plan the day's prep, help with ordering and stock rotation and put forward new dishes. Candidates requiring employer sponsorship may be considered where eligibility requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook meals to the venue's quality and presentation standards and organise each day's prep
- Work across a varied pub-style menu, including daily and seasonal specials
- Keep portions, flavour and presentation consistent
- Prepare and store food safely and keep the kitchen clean and well organised
- Help with stock rotation, inventory and ordering
- Check ingredient levels and cut waste
- Coordinate with the kitchen team and front of house so meals go out smoothly
- Help develop the menu with new dish ideas
- Support other kitchen staff and stay calm and productive in busy periods
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef in a commercial hospitality kitchen
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Practical knowledge of modern food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Able to juggle several kitchen tasks without letting quality slip, staying calm and efficient in high-volume service
- Strong communication and people skills
- Able to work alone and as an effective member of a team, with a positive, dependable and professional work ethic
- Available evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Happy to contribute to the wider running of the kitchen
