Fancy swapping the UK winter for a Queensland kitchen? An independently owned café on the Sunshine Coast, highly rated for its creative breakfast and lunch menu, is recruiting a full-time Chef. The owners care about quality ingredients, things made in-house and proper hospitality, and they work hands-on in the business.
They are flexible on experience. A seasoned Chef would suit, as would a Senior Cook ready to step up or someone working at Sous Chef or Head Chef level, and the role will be shaped around your skills and leadership potential. It is a fast, high-volume kitchen with mostly daytime shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and plate breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
- Keep presentation, freshness and consistency spot on
- Organise prep and keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently
- Support food safety, cleanliness and stock management
- Muck in with the team during busy services and put forward ideas for the menu and kitchen
- Take on leadership, training and kitchen management where appropriate
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in a professional commercial kitchen
- Confidence under pressure when services get busy
- Pride in presentation, consistency and food quality
- Organised and efficient
- A good team player
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable with early starts and weekend working
- Previous leadership experience highly regarded
