If you like a job that mixes the phone, the paperwork and a bit of elbow grease, this Queenstown vehicle hire branch wants a Customer Service / Groomer. Its customers range from tourists and business travellers to tradies on short hires and companies on long contracts.
Part of the day is spent advising callers, quoting and drawing up contracts; the rest goes on making sure every vehicle leaves clean, checked and ready. The team is small, so everyone pitches in wherever the branch needs a hand. It is a permanent, full-time post of 40 hours a week on a roster, with the branch open from 8.00am to 5.00pm on weekdays and until 1.00pm on Saturdays.
The branch would rather appoint someone already available locally, but it is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ and can consider sponsoring a work visa if no suitable New Zealand worker turns up.

Key Responsibilities
- Take calls, give sales advice and prepare quotes
- Draw up contracts and process payments
- Arrange vehicle deliveries and collections, and drive them yourself
- Keep on top of office admin and customer accounts
- Clean and groom the hire fleet to a very high standard and make sure the required compliance checks are done
- Spot repair and maintenance problems, flag them, and look after maintenance and damage records as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence, or the overseas equivalent
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Earlier customer-facing service experience (ideally in vehicle rental, though that is not essential), with excellent customer service, communication and a confident phone manner
- Grooming experience is preferred but not essential
- A sharp eye for detail and excellent time management skills
