Love the outdoors and know how to run a shop? An outdoor and adventure retailer in Dunedin wants a Store Manager to lead its small team from the shop floor, own the store's results and make sure customers get knowledgeable, professional advice.
You would coach staff with regular feedback and product knowledge, build a culture of accountability and service, chase KPIs and new sales opportunities, and manage stock, admin and merchandising. An experienced Assistant Manager and regional leadership would support you, and the roster runs Tuesday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of daily store operations and sales performance, leading by example on the shop floor
- Coach the team through regular feedback and product education, and support training programmes that develop staff
- Create a workplace culture built on accountability, teamwork and service
- Work towards agreed KPIs and respond to sales opportunities as customer needs shift
- Manage stock control, store administration and merchandising
- Find ways to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, and maintain service, presentation and compliance standards
- Work closely with the Assistant Manager and regional leadership
Requirements & Eligibility
- Retail leadership experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or similar senior role
- Has managed, coached and developed retail staff
- Good understanding of sales targets, KPIs and commercial retail performance
- A confident, hands-on leader who motivates a small team and keeps performance standards clear
- Strong customer service and relationship building
- Sound administration, organisation and operational management
- Strong communicator and decision-maker
- Genuinely enthusiastic about outdoor recreation, adventure, technical clothing or specialist outdoor gear, and at home in a fast-paced retail setting
