Field Service Technician

Visa sponsorship

Automotive · Hamilton, New Zealand · Full-Time · $25/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Diagnosing faults on modern farm machinery and getting it working again out in the field is the core of this Field Service Technician role in Hamilton. An agricultural machinery service business wants a qualified diesel, heavy automotive or agricultural technician to service, troubleshoot and repair tractors, harvesters and specialist equipment.

Much of the work is on the road at customer sites, using electronic diagnostic tools, testing every repair and explaining findings in plain language to farmers and contractors. You would also keep tidy service records, join the on-call breakdown roster and keep up with training. Sponsorship is available for eligible overseas applicants. If you have worked on farm machinery for a UK dealer, your experience is directly relevant.

On your CV, show your diesel or heavy automotive qualification, the tractor and harvester systems you have repaired and the diagnostic software you use. Put your tractor and harvester repairs into a Build AI CV so it reads well.

  • Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on tractors and other farm equipment
