Financial Accountant
Onshore applicants only
Visa sponsorship
Accounting & Finance · Melbourne, VIC, Australia · Contract · $90,000 - $120,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored · Applicants: Onshore applicants only
If you have done month-end in a UK finance team, this Melbourne role will feel familiar. A high-growth digital marketplace business in Australia's digital platform and technology sector is taking on a Financial Accountant. The post is temporary to begin with and is organised so that it can become a permanent, full-time job along a defined route.
You would report to the Financial Controller and work alongside the CFO day to day. The job centres on a well-run month-end, a balance sheet you can stand behind and statutory compliance for several group entities. An assistant accountant looks after the routine transactions, leaving you to review the core ledgers and support the basic cash and budgeting cycle. The emphasis is sound accounting and tidy reports rather than complex modelling, with senior leaders close at hand.
Full visa sponsorship is available for eligible Working Holiday visa holders already in Australia who have proven accounting capability.
Before applying, highlight on your English CV the group consolidations you have prepared, any ACA, ACCA or CIMA progress and the cloud ledgers you are used to, Xero especially. Get your financial accountant CV sorted with Build AI CV.
