Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain a mixed heavy vehicle fleet through planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Diagnose mechanical faults and choose the repair, then carry out repairs and replace components
- Work on diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems
- Inspect vehicles to identify upcoming maintenance needs
- Support field maintenance and breakdown response
- Complete workshop jobs efficiently to high workmanship and safety standards, following operational, safety and compliance procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualified as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Bus Mechanic
- Experience with heavy vehicles or commercial fleets, such as buses, coaches, trucks or similar equipment
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills on mechanical systems
- Comfortable working on many different vehicle types, including in regional and remote WA
- Dependable, adaptable and safety-minded
- Current driver's licence, with HR desirable
- Able to meet pre-employment medical requirements
- Able to meet drug and alcohol screening requirements
