Key Responsibilities
- Serve tables: take orders and carry out food and drinks
- Ring up and take payments accurately on the till
- Pour and mix behind the bar, from beer, wine and cocktails to soft drinks
- Turn tables round fast and keep the room looking smart
- Greet people warmly, note any requests or allergies and pass them on clearly
- Stay in step with the kitchen and bar team when it gets busy
- Know the menu, specials and drinks list well enough to suggest something
- Restock, tidy your area and stick to health, safety and food handling rules
Requirements & Eligibility
- Has worked somewhere busy in hospitality, with some time waiting tables or behind a bar
- Loves giving guests a great experience
- Talks easily with customers and colleagues
- Can stay on your feet for long, busy shifts
- Turns up on time and can be relied on, with an upbeat, flexible outlook
- Works well in a team
- Basic food safety and hygiene know-how
- POS experience is desirable; training can be provided
- Barista or bartending qualifications are an advantage but not essential
