Mining Engineer (Medium Term Planning)
Visa sponsorship
Engineering · Brisbane, QLD, Australia · Full-Time · Discussed at interview · Visa: Employer sponsored
Long mine life, complex sequencing and a permanent seat in the planning team. A big underground operation in Queensland producing zinc, lead and silver is recruiting a Mining Engineer (Medium Term Planning).
What makes it interesting is the number of moving parts. Multiple fronts operate together, and decisions on development, stoping, ventilation, backfill, infrastructure, services and production readiness all ripple into each other. You would own the medium-term picture, creating mine plans and schedules, keeping them current and refining them so the operation meets its production and development targets, then handing sequences to the short-term planners. The base can be Brisbane, a FIFO roster to site, or living locally at the mine. Suitably qualified candidates can be offered visa sponsorship.
